    老公怎么是反派

Yu Wei had just finished showering and come out when he received a message from Qiu Lei. After dropping Shi Ciyan and Yu Song off at school this afternoon, he had gone straight to the company. He had gone into the hospital at noon, and the afternoon meeting had not been held in time, so a pile of work had built up at the company. He had no choice but to stay late and finish it.

That’s right, even as a CEO, he still had to work overtime. Yu Wei could only cry about how miserable his life was.

Before, he had been an ordinary accountant, dealing with all kinds of vouchers all day long, and he had no clue how to manage a company. In order not to give himself away, these past few days he had been diligently doing the work while secretly studying, plugging the holes in his knowledge wherever he could.

Today, by the time he finished work and got home, it was almost midnight. The original owner’s parents were still awake, waiting for him in the living room. They fussed over him with concern, and Yu Wei didn’t mention the hospital at all, just brushed them off with a couple of perfunctory replies. Since he had come back late, the servants at home had already prepared a late-night snack for him. Yu Wei ate a few bites, used tiredness as an excuse, and escaped back to his room to study. Once he got into it, he went all out and lost track of time. When he looked again, it was already two-thirty.

After a busy day, Yu Wei had soaked in the bath for half an hour before bed and come out intending to sleep comfortably through the night, only to receive a text from Qiu Lei.

Qiu Lei was like a crow now. Whenever he sent a message, it was never good news. Sure enough, Yu Song had gotten into another fight.

Yu Wei changed clothes at top speed and rushed out before he had even finished drying his hair. He was grateful that in his past life, when he was in college, he had taken driving lessons for the extra credits in his comprehensive evaluation. Even though he had no hope of buying a car, he had still spent a summer practicing just to get his license.

He had been here for three days, and every time he went out, a driver picked him up and dropped him off, so he had never even been to the garage. Now, seeing rows of luxury cars gleaming under the brilliant lights until they were almost blinding, Yu Wei picked one and drove to Nanda.

Along the way, the traffic lights seemed to be out to get him, one red light after another, and it made his mood increasingly irritable.

Yu Wei rubbed a hand over his face and, during a green light, sent Qiu Lei a reply.

“I’ll be there in half an hour.”

The moment he sent it and was about to put his phone down, Qiu Lei replied at once.

“Ge, we’re at the city center hospital.”

Yu Wei paused, a bad feeling rising in his chest.

Had someone been beaten into the hospital?

Alarm bells rang in his head. He quickly changed his destination and, following the navigation, drove toward the city center hospital. This time there were mostly green lights, and the road was smooth all the way.

When Yu Wei reached the hospital, he went straight to the third floor based on the floor Qiu Lei had told him. The hospital corridors were especially quiet in the middle of the night, with only the occasional duty nurse making rounds. As he came up the stairs, he saw three people standing with their backs to him in front of the innermost room on the left side of the hallway. He recognized Yu Song at a glance.

Yu Wei strode over and, without saying a word, grabbed Yu Song by the ear.

Yu Song cried out in pain and shot him a sideways glare, about to curse, but when he saw Yu Wei’s face, his ear no longer seemed to hurt. He asked in surprise, “Ge, why are you here?”

    “You got into another fight?”

Yu Song’s guilty conscience made him unable to speak at once.

Qiu Lei had already told him that this time Yu Song had fought Shi Ciyan. And then looking at the other main character beside them, Lin Yuchi, whose face was bruised and swollen all over, he wasn’t in any better shape.

“Him too? You hit him too?”

Yu Song denied it. “No, that was Shi Ciyan who hit him.”

Yu Wei: “…” So it was one of those love-hate pairs.

    “Is Shi Ciyan badly hurt?”

Even though he knew that if someone ended up in the hospital, the injuries definitely couldn’t be light, he still asked with a sliver of hope.

As soon as he asked, Yu Song became unhappy again. “Ge, why do you care about him?”

Yu Wei let go of Yu Song’s ear and really wanted to beat him up. But now that Yu Song had beaten someone and the matter had already happened, all he could do was think about ways to make up for it. Beating him wouldn’t solve anything.

He glared at Yu Song and said nothing more.

Once Shi Ciyan woke up, he would press Yu Song’s head down and make him bow and apologize, beg for forgiveness.

But for now, Shi Ciyan was still in the room, and they could only wait.

Looking back and forth, he noticed Lin Yuchi’s face again and thought that even if the two of them were locked in mutual love and mutual slaughter, they shouldn’t have gone that far.

No, the injuries on Lin Yuchi’s face had also been partly thanks to his cannon-fodder younger brother.

    “Yu Song, apologize.”

Yu Song was still rubbing his reddened ear. When he heard Yu Wei, he looked a little dazed. “Apologize to who?”

Yu Wei turned toward Lin Yuchi and lifted his chin, the meaning obvious.

“Why should I apologize to him?”

“You fought him yesterday at noon. You still won’t apologize?”

Yu Song shot a glare at Lin Yuchi, who was still clueless about the situation. “Who told him to be such a nasty little bastard? He deserved it. If anyone should apologize, it should be him.”

Seeing him standing there with his neck stiff and refusing to back down, Yu Wei’s anger surged higher and higher.

He had died once and been poor once. This time, he absolutely could not let these paper people cost him his life again. If not for the fact that the original owner shared blood ties with Yu Song and the rest of his family, Yu Wei would have cut ties and walked away on the very first day he arrived. He would never have interfered in their fate.

But now, even if he had not actively taken over the original owner’s body, he had been given a new life and was, in a sense, the beneficiary here. It was only right that he protect the original owner’s family a little.

He did not know the script, so not a single step could go wrong. There could be no hidden danger, and that included Yu Song.

He said harshly, “From now on, no matter what happens, you are not allowed to fight with either of them. If you do it again, then don’t blame me for being heartless. I won’t talk to you anymore.”

Over these past few days, he had already discovered that Yu Song depended far too much on the original owner. Not speaking to him was the biggest punishment Yu Song could suffer.

As expected, when he heard that, Yu Song’s eyes widened, and tears welled up in them. “Don’t talk to me, then don’t talk to me. I don’t care.”

After saying that, he turned and left, his back practically spelling out the words, come哄 me now.

Yu Wei felt a headache coming on. Tired, he pinched the bridge of his nose and worked out his wording. For the sake of his own life and a lifetime of wealth and glory, he was going all in.

“Yu Song was spoiled rotten, and his temper isn’t good. I’ll apologize to you on his behalf for what happened at noon today. He got physical with you at noon and said some unpleasant things, and we’ll take responsibility for all of it. Medical bills, compensation for emotional distress, whatever amount you want, we’ll pay. The school doesn’t allow first-year students to live outside campus during the first semester, so I hope you can all get along well this semester. Next semester, I’ll have him move out and he won’t disturb you anymore. So please be more accommodating this semester and don’t let any conflicts arise. I’ll also make Yu Song change that bad temper of his.”

Yu Wei finished the long speech in one breath and bowed ninety degrees to show his apology.

Lin Yuchi had been gloating just a second ago, but when he suddenly saw this, he was so frightened he took two steps back. Listening to the apology, his guilty eyes flickered. After a long moment, he seemed to come to his senses and even started stuttering a little.

“I… it’s not really necessary to do this.”

“It is necessary.” This concerned the rest of his life. It was extremely necessary.

He had to eliminate all hidden dangers.

Lin Yuchi, feeling guilty, did not dare to speak. Especially since there was also a witness standing nearby who had watched the entire thing.

But Yu Wei stubbornly waited for his forgiveness. Lin Yuchi could only brace himself and accept the apology. When he saw Yu Wei finally let it go, he breathed a sigh of relief.

The three of them waited another ten minutes at the hospital room door. At some point, Yu Wei silently disappeared. When he came back, he was holding a small bag of iodine swabs, and a faint sense of unease rose in Lin Yuchi’s heart.

Sure enough, Yu Wei walked straight toward him. “Let me take care of the wounds on your face.”

Lin Yuchi immediately stood up from the bench. “I can do it myself.”

    “Can you see?”

    Lin Yuchi shook his head.

Yu Wei lightly patted his shoulder, signaling him to sit back down. “I’ll help you.”

Yu Wei sounded like an elder caring for a junior, his tone especially gentle. His movements were careful as he applied the medicine. Lin Yuchi was awkward and guilty, his eyelids lowered, even his breathing deliberately kept soft.

For the first time, he felt that he should also change his temper. He should also change his prejudice against Omegas.

Not all Omegas were like his father’s lover, flaunting themselves and being shameless enough to rush to the top the moment someone else’s wife died.

After finishing the medicine and tidying up, Yu Wei handed it to Lin Yuchi. “Take it back and keep applying it. It’ll heal faster.”

Lin Yuchi responded and took it. The hospital room door behind them opened from the inside, and several people came out.

“Urgent blood test report,” the man in the lead, a doctor, said to the nurse behind him. After the nurse left, he looked at Yu Wei.

The doctor was about twenty centimeters taller than Yu Wei. A mask covered the lower half of his face, leaving only sharp eyes and brows visible. When he looked at people, he carried a strong sense of pressure.

“The patient has already been given a sedative, but his condition is still unstable, so he needs to stay in the isolation room for two days. You can go back first.”

    Sedative? Isolation room?

Yu Wei was worried. “Is he very seriously hurt?”

Why would he need to stay in the hospital for so long? Just how hard had Yu Song hit him?

The doctor’s steps paused, and he gave Yu Wei another assessing look before saying coolly, “For him, the situation is very good.”

Yu Wei was a little stunned.

What did he mean, good for him?

Getting beaten into the hospital was good?

Was this doctor insane? Yu Wei curled his lip and watched the doctor leave, then turned and walked to the hospital room door, pushing at it.

He still wanted to go in and take a look at the injuries himself.

    The door would not budge.

Yu Wei pushed hard a few more times, but the heavy door remained utterly motionless.

“The door should be locked. He’s still unstable, so no one is allowed in,” Lin Yuchi kindly reminded him.

Only then did Yu Wei give up, his worry over the injuries growing even stronger.

The three of them left the hospital together, and at the entrance they saw Yu Song squatting nearby with his arms folded.

Yu Wei opened the car door remotely and let the other two get in first, then went to stand beside Yu Song for five seconds.

Yu Song didn’t even lift his head, just shifted his squat a little to the side to put distance between them.

The meaning was obvious, he was still sulking.

Yu Wei moved closer again, and this time he gave Yu Song a light kick with the tip of his shoe. “Get up, we’re going back.”

    “Hmph💢”

Yu Wei: “Are you getting up or not?”

    “Hmph💢”

Yu Wei: “If you don’t get up now, we’re leaving.”

    Yu Song: “💢, then leave.”

Yu Wei could not help laughing. In the end, Yu Song was still just a kid. Yu Wei crouched down to coax him. “Okay, okay, I was wrong, all right? My lord, I shouldn’t have said that.”

Even though Yu Wei still didn’t know exactly which sentence had poked at Yu Song’s sore spot and made him this angry, thankfully Yu Song took the out without asking further.

He gave a huffy snort, and his expression eased a little. “You’re my older brother.”

Yu Wei put an arm around his shoulder and walked toward where the car was parked. “Well, duh. If I’m not your brother, whose brother am I supposed to be?”

“That’s right,” Yu Song said, sounding a little proud.

Seeing that his anger had faded, Yu Wei breathed a sigh of relief and quickly pressed on while the iron was hot. “From now on, don’t bully Shi Ciyan and Lin Yuchi anymore. Get along with them properly, okay?”

Yu Song’s steps came to a sudden halt. He immediately bristled. “I bullied them? Who said that? You also think I’d hit them for no reason?”

Yu Wei pressed his lips together and said nothing.

As a paper person, as the vicious cannon fodder in the book, Yu Song really would fight and bully people for no reason. Whatever the author wrote him to be, that was what he did.
