Chapter 55: Still Want to Talk Details? Then Kiss Me Again

He had been clinging to her and making a fuss all afternoon. Xu Linruan really could not take it anymore. This guy was full of energy, ready to get horny anytime, anywhere, and he had no sense of shame at all. He was just like he had skin hunger, as if he wanted to stick to her body every second of the day.

Xu Linruan took a deep breath. She felt that if this went on any longer, she was probably going to be drained dry too, so she asked to go to the supermarket for a stroll and buy some daily necessities while they were at it.

Qi Yue shifted his hips in reluctant little movements. Maybe he had sensed that his girlfriend was really getting annoyed, because he wrapped his arms around her neck and ground against her for a long time. Then he leaned in and planted a loud kiss on her cheek.

“Give me another kiss, and we can go together, okay?”

With that handsome, refined face of his, her boyfriend looked at her expectantly.

Finding him too clingy, Xu Linruan slapped at him. “Will you ever be done? Qi Xiaoyue, if you keep hanging on to me like this, do you believe I’ll make sure you can’t get out of bed tomorrow?”

At the words, the guy whose head had just been hit and hurt immediately widened his eyes. When he stared like that, his eyes were bright, wet, and black as obsidian.

“Really? I can, I can. Three days and three nights would be fine too.”

“Get lost. I can’t.” If they kept playing around any longer, her waist was going to disappear. Xu Linruan rolled her eyes and kicked him straight off the bed. Only then did that persistent little horny dog finally calm down for a bit.

With her freedom restored, Xu Linruan picked a light-colored shirt from the wardrobe to put on. She had no idea what was wrong with this guy, but he liked leaving marks on people. He probably really did think of himself as a dog marking out territory. There were already obvious traces on her neck.

She shot the culprit a disgusted look. He misread her meaning entirely and immediately扑了过来, kissing, touching, and hugging her all at once. Then, under the warning signs that his girlfriend was about to blow up, he obediently helped her fasten the buttons.

He had absolutely no awareness whatsoever of being disliked.

Xu Linruan could not be bothered with him. She pushed away that big face that kept leaning in, and when he lifted his head, his tone was soft and sweet again as he started acting cute.

“Are you mad?”

Before she could answer, he rubbed his cheek against hers a few times. “Don’t be mad, okay? I’ll definitely remember the time next time. I won’t act recklessly, okay?”

“Remember the time?” Xu Linruan glanced at him, not really believing it. It was obviously a lie. She asked, “One hour, or two?”

One or two hours… That was completely not enough. At the very least it had to start from three hours, right? Did Ruannan have too little faith in him? Qi Yue was gloomy over this unreasonable demand from his girlfriend. He buried his head in her neck.

“That’s not scientific. You can’t make me promise something impossible like that.”

Xu Linruan gave two cold laughs. She knew this brat never kept his word.

The two of them drove to a nearby supermarket. By then, the sky outside had gradually darkened. There were not many people in the supermarket, and Qi Yue held his girlfriend’s little hand as they wandered slowly around.

When they reached the meat section, that guy’s steps stopped of their own accord.

“Wifey, I think you’ve been kind of weak lately. How about we buy some beef, and some lamb too, to tonify your kidneys?” Qi Yue could not help tugging at her little hand to show how sincere his suggestion was.

Xu Linruan glanced at him. “Heh. So now you know I’ve got weak kidneys. Then why didn’t you think about me when you were in bed earlier? Instead, you kept clinging to me nonstop and wanted to study positions?”

Her boyfriend’s ears turned a little red without his control. In his black-and-white eyes, her face was reflected clearly. He turned his head slightly.

“That would be so embarrassing, wifey. How can you talk about bed stuff out here? Those kinds of things… let’s go home and talk about the details, okay?”

Xu Linruan looked at him. “You still want to talk details?”

Qi Yue rubbed his ear and then shamelessly answered her, “Can’t I even talk about it? Even if I’m a little dumb, you can’t underestimate me. I just want to study with you the importance of the continued development of human friction exercise, that’s all.”

Xu Linruan was utterly speechless. She looked at him expressionlessly. Human friction exercise she did understand. “What is the importance of continued development?”

Her boyfriend made a muffled little sound. His face turned even redder.

“Isn’t that obvious? Put simply, it’s mating, then having babies.”

“Having babies, huh? Then how many do you want?” Xu Linruan looked at him with deep meaning.

Qi Yue scratched his head and thought about it with a dreamy expression.

“Well, actually one would be enough. I like girls. But if you’re willing to cooperate, two wouldn’t be impossible either. Anyway, I’ve got plenty of spare grain…”

Two babies too?

Xu Linruan could not help but poke his head. “Qi Xiaoyue, your胆子 keeps getting bigger and bigger, huh? Say any more nonsense, and do you believe I’ll make you sleep on the sofa for half a month?”

She really admired this guy’s thick skin. Xu Linruan shot him a bad-tempered glare. “You’re even feeling委屈 now? Hurry up and go pay.”

With such a tall frame, he was still putting on this coy act in front of her, and he did not even think it was embarrassing.

Having been refused when he asked his wife for a baby, Qi Yue was especially displeased. He gave her a glance, pouted his little lips, then took advantage of the moment when she was not paying attention to lean in and kiss her cheek. Only then did he push the cart basket away with satisfaction and go stand in line.

After paying and coming back out, it was completely dark.

Qi Yue was carrying a bag of things to get the car. The car was parked across from the intersection, and Xu Linruan was waiting for him by the nearby lane.

The night was especially quiet. There were not many pedestrians or vehicles on the road. Under the orange-yellow streetlights, moths kept gathering as they flew around. A few of them landed on her phone screen, and the trail they crawled over left behind a gray-yellow, flaky powder that looked a little unpleasant.

Xu Linruan took out a tissue and wiped the phone screen clean. When she tossed the tissue away, she heard footsteps coming from behind her. The sound of leather shoes stepping on the cement was not just one pair, and it was moving quickly, headed straight for her.

She turned around to see who it was. Before she could make out the face, a plain white wet cloth covered her mouth and nose. Immediately after that, a strong smell of ether rushed into her nose.

She instinctively held her breath, but still inhaled a fair amount of it. Her head grew dizzy. She wanted to struggle, but two men wearing black masks dragged her into a van.

The black car door slammed shut quickly, and the vehicle sped off toward the front.

Xu Linruan was thrown into the back seat. Her phone and handbag had both been taken away by those people. Her head was a little dizzy now, so she bit down hard on the tip of her tongue. Only then did her consciousness clear up a little.

Through the haze, she heard those people making a phone call. Their accent was not standard, mixed with a few chaotic English words.

“…Boss, we’ve got the person. She’s been knocked out, not injured. What do we do now?”

Xu Linruan could barely piece together some information from the conversation. As she sorted through it, she roughly guessed what this group planned to do. Their intentions were bad. They had kidnapped her to get revenge on Qi Yue.

As for the reason, she thought of what Jiang Rang had said earlier. He had originally wanted to warn her that Qi Yue had been targeted, but in the end, the one who got targeted was her instead.

Xu Linruan frowned slightly. She found this sudden trouble somewhat tricky. If this group was dead set on taking revenge on Qi Yue, her situation probably would not be too good.

The car kept driving forward the whole way, and finally stopped at a rundown factory building in the suburbs. Xu Linruan was taken out of the vehicle. A pair of hands lifted the loose hair from her face, and the person’s attitude was casual.

“So this is Qi Yue’s woman? She’s really beautiful. I wonder how much he’ll be willing to pay to buy this woman’s life?”
