MZ ⋆ Chapter 1
by 🐳ᴍᴀᴍᴀ_ᴡʜᴀʟᴇʏEarly morning sunlight filtered through the transparent glass and fell upon the soft bed. From within the gently rising quilt came rhythmic breathing sounds. A small head with short black hair poked out from the edge of the bed.
“Xiao Ye, Xiao Ye, wake up now. Xiao Ye’s light brain received a matching message.”
A small robot with big, adorable eyes rolled on its wheels toward the bed, meanwhile pulling all the curtains open to let the sunlight flood in completely.
“Xiao Ye, wake up, the sun is already out.”
The small robot pushed at the quilt covering the person inside, then extended its hands from both sides of its body and threw the quilt open. The little male Zerg buried within let out a few whimpering sounds and slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes while yawning.
“Haa… I went to bed a bit late last night. Hmm… I don’t want to get up, I’m so sleepy…”
A boy with short black hair, a few strands sticking up messily, his black eyes still hazy with a few teardrops at the corners, stretched lazily. His pajamas rode up with the motion, exposing his slender waist.
“What is it, Xiao Yuan, I still want to sleep. It’s not like I have anything to do anyway~”
As he spoke, Xiao Ye on the bed leaned toward Xiao Yuan, draping his upper body across the robot’s smooth mechanical form.
“Xiao Yuan’s body is so cool and comfortable!” he said, reaching out to touch the robot.
“Oh my, Xiao Ye, you forgot that today you have a blind date,” Xiao Yuan said, moving away from Xiao Ye and helping the boy sit up straight.
“A… a blind date? Ah, this… I… I forgot about it. What do I do, Xiao Yuan? I don’t want to go. This is so annoying.” In an instant, Xiao Ye wilted and flopped back down onto the bed, staring at the ceiling.
“I haven’t gone out in so long… I… I don’t know how to talk to him.”
Staring up at the white ceiling, he deflated as he spoke, his eyes suddenly becoming vacant.
“Ugh, if I’d known, I should have just gone out to work and earned money to pay the fine. That way I could have delayed this for a few more years.” The person on the bed kept rolling back and forth.
Though he said this, the truth was that Xiao Ye hadn’t come of age yet. Underage male Zerg were not allowed to go out and work.
“Ah, what do I do, what if he… doesn’t like me, what do I do, this is so troublesome~”
As he spoke, the person on the bed kept thrashing about. Finally he lay face-down on the bed, burying his face in the pillow.
Watching her little master like this, Xiao Yuan’s eyes blinked. Xiao Yuan didn’t know how to comfort him either, because according to the knowledge programmed into her, no female Zerg would dare reject a male Zerg. Male Zerg were held in great respect. She didn’t understand why her little master was so troubled.
“Xiao Ye, Little Master, they will definitely accept you. After all, Little Master is so excellent,” Xiao Yuan said. Though she had searched her database for this reassurance, she still chose to comfort her little master.
After speaking, Xiao Yuan pulled out a small note from her small belly. “Master, this is from the Male Protection Association for you. They said Little Master must arrive on time.”
“Xiao Ye, the other party is a military female Zerg with quite a high official position. You must arrive on time. This is someone I picked out for you,” the letter was written by Miber, who worked at the Male Protection Association.
Miber was the president of the Male Protection Association. When Xiao Ye first arrived, Miber had taken great care of him, caring for him like he was his own offspring, and had given Xiao Ye a ray of sunshine to live by in this strange world.
After finishing breakfast and changing clothes, Xiao Ye stood in front of the mirror, looking at his 1.7-meter frame in the reflection, his black hair complementing his fair skin. His almond-shaped eyes curved beautifully when he smiled.
“Hehe, I’m so handsome. How can I be this handsome? Hahaha!”
“Yes, yes, Little Master is very good-looking. No one could possibly dislike Xiao Ye,” Xiao Yuan said. But the moment the words left her mouth, Xiao Ye’s face in the mirror drooped.
“But… but I don’t know what to say. Sigh, Xiao Yuan, you don’t understand.” For someone like him who had been living at home for so long, rarely interacting with the outside world, this was a bit beyond his ability.
“I’ve been cooped up at home for ages, and I don’t even like talking to other people. I just want to stay by myself. I don’t need to interact with the outside world.”
After speaking, Xiao Ye leaned against Xiao Yuan’s body, his hand touching the robot’s smooth small head. At the same time, he sighed in his heart. For the blind date this afternoon, he could only grit his teeth and go.
Meanwhile, at the Military Department training grounds, “General, you’re dressed so nicely today. Where are you going?”
A soldier behind looked at the man in front, who wore a white shirt and black suit pants that hugged his long legs.
The man in front stopped in his tracks, a faint smile appearing on his face. “Well, that’s classified. I have something to attend to, so I’ll be going now.”
Just thinking about seeing his Xiao Ye soon made Gu Runze unable to help but smile. Though his Xiao Ye didn’t know him yet, it was enough that he knew Xiao Ye.
He had been waiting for this day for over a year. It was fortunate that Xiao Ye didn’t like going out. Now there weren’t many Zerg coveting his treasure. But now that Xiao Ye had come of age, he had to quickly get Xiao Ye in hand. He couldn’t let any other Zerg snatch him away.
Thinking of this, Gu Runze quickened his pace. After leaving the Military Department, he headed straight for the aircraft. “My Xiao Ye, we’ll be able to see each other soon.”
