Guiding Pain

A-rank Guide Yoon Seoh feels pain as guiding energy builds up in his body.

To ease that pain, he keeps breaking the center’s rules to guide Espers in secret, and ends up becoming the dedicated Guide for Song Taejoon, the Esper whom Guides avoid most.

Song Taejoon is an Esper who hates Guides to a disturbing degree.

“You’re Yoon Seoh, the one assigned to me as my dedicated Guide?”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you. A-rank Guide Yoon Se…”

“A-rank Guide Yoon Seoh. I know. You’re famous enough that every Esper knows your name.”

A bad feeling washed over him.

Taejoon mocked Seoh, saying the center had sent him that infamous male prostitute, but as they lived together, he slowly began to notice that something was strange.

“You’re getting aroused and then just leaving?”

“You saw wrong. Don’t worry. I wasn’t… aroused. It just looked that way.”

If he really were the “male prostitute” people said he was, there was no way he would be acting like this.

At some point, he developed an illness that causes him pain whenever guiding energy builds up, but since the tests show nothing wrong, he has become a target of misunderstanding and contempt. In the end, he falls out of the center director’s favor and is assigned as the dedicated Guide to Song Taejoon, the Esper Guides avoid most.
